Is My little Monkey, a Tad Too Chunky ??

I went in yesterday for my monthly prenatal appointment. The US has consistently showed me a week and a few days more advanced than my OB's due date (my OB will not change my due date because its in the same week). My US is showing my son to be 27 weeks 3 days and guess how much they are saying that he weighs so far.. 2LBS 8 oz... OMG! The tech asked me did 10 lbers run in my family and I told her NO. I don't have gestational diabetes and yes.. my fat ass has reached the 15lbs weight gain my DR wanted already.. but this is something else to me. I am scheduled to come back in at the end of the month to check it again.

I wouldn't worry about it. With my daughter, they thought she was going to be huge cause she has a big head (that runs in our family) but she was normal size. The ultrasound estimates can be off by about 1 lb anyway. I'm sure you'll be fine and your baby is probably just normal size.

With my last one the doctors thought he was going to be 12-14 pounds, he was 9 pounds on the nose. I would not worry, you are healthy and so is your little one.  At 25 weeks my little one was measuring 2.4 lbs and I was told that was the 54th percentile.

I wouldn't worry at all-

Baby #1 they told me measured 3 weeks ahead the whole time. He was 2 weeks LATE. Told me he was supposed to be 8 lbs-ish. He was 7lbs 1oz

Baby #2 they told me he would be 9 lbs. He was 7lbs 8oz

Baby #3- I refused to let them tell me what thier birth estimate weight would be LMFAO!

Don't forget they only go by measurements of bones, etc. My hubby is 6' and an all around BIG guy. My kids are all tall for thier ages.

I would be worried - I was in yesterday for my ultrasound and at 24 weeks baby was about 1 pound 10 ounces. She told me that was in the 54th percentile. I posted about this last month when my baby seemed much larger then the comparisons, I was reminded that these are just guesstimates - they can be WAY off!

Well last week, at the high risk doc...last thurs would have 26wks, 4 days 'Bella was measuring 2.5lbs.  So...and according to all the books I read...that is either normal or slightly over normal(What to Expect when you are Expecting) and babygaga all have that this is where she should be.  So who knows?  They weren't upset about it at all....so...I dunno

Hayvann measured 2-3 weeks ahead the whole time. When I went in labor doc felt around my stomach and said feels about at least 8 pounds She came out 6 pounds 11 ounces. My smallest baby :)

Those machines are wrong a lot.  I am sure your kiddo is fine! 

My growth scan at 20 weeks said Bryder was 2lbs 2oz!  He was born at 39 weeks at 6lbs 6oz.  They always guess....never right in my opinion.  I'm sure your baby is fine.
