Pregnancy costs?
Just remember that the explanation of benefits that comes in the mail is not what a self-pay person would pay. The amount billed to the insurance is way higher because insurance companies don't ever pay the full amounts. Example - even though my PCP bills my insurance $160 for an office visit, self pay only pays $60
329 (pre-op) 167 (4-22-10) 150 (lowest and goal Summer 07)
Wife to Russ and Mommy to Elizabeth "Libby"

Wow, I definately can answer this one. I have no insurance as well, none at all.
For my doctor to deliver me, the upfront cost with the cash discount is $3300
For each visit I pay $68 for the urine handling and testing
For my u/s they are $150 a piece
For the hospital, upfront with cash discount it is $5800.
Im due in about a month so we will see if there is anything extra.

I have lost 112lbs since my surgery in November of 2007. Ready for a baby now.
