My cervix is blue!

So, after much searching, I finally found a doctor that I think I'm really going to like.  He's the only doctor in the practice, so you aren't shuffled around between a doctor and a PA or other doctors.  That was a problem for me last time, and I really paid a price for it.  He took us into his office and we talked about all my concerns stemming from the disaster of a delivery and the lovely NICU stay from last time.  I was so grateful that I didn't have to sit there naked asking questions only to find out that I wasn't in to that doctor.  So, he scored major points for that, and he also answered the questions the way I wanted him to.  He did the exam, (faster than anyone else ever!) and then I got dressed again and went into his office.  He said that my cervix is blue, which is what he'd expect at this point!  He said he wanted to see me in 3 weeks for an ultrasound.

So basically, he said he wouldn't let me go past 39 weeks, and he anticipates monthly ultrasounds to be sure the baby is growing like it's supposed to.  So, I'm happy to have a doctor, and a blue cervix, cause it means things are good!

Contrats and what a relief!

Congrats and I know that you are relieved.  I had an appt. with my surgeon yesterday and it went really well.  He did not fuss at me which I was relieved about.  He told me to eat many small meals and make sure I eat plenty of fruits, veggies, cheeses and meats and drink plenty of fluids.  I need to see a high risk doctor for monthly ultrasounds and I am  happy that we will be able to use the same doc that our birth mom uses because she is considered high risk as well.  We will both have ultrasound pics coming out of our ears!  Have a great day!
