Need some positivity and/or advice (kinda long sorry)

Im still having alot of spotting, but in the last few weeks it has increased alot. I went to the dr last week, and she told me the brown stuff was nothing to worry about. She did a sono and the baby looked great. She said the brown stuff is 'old blood', like that makes me feel better? Anyways yesterday I took a shower and noticed bright red blood on my washcloth, so I got out and checked, and sure enough I had bright red blood with brown discharge. This time it was much, much more than usual. Of course I freaked out. I thought for sure that I had miscarried and called the dr. I went in, saw yet again a different dr than my regular. (Btw I freaking slipped in the snow on the way, HARD, hit my side and back :( ) The doc got a heartbeat right away with the doppler, and so he said everything looked good. He did an internal exam and said he saw no blood at all in there and my cervix looked strong. Id like to know how sometimes I have bleeding, other times I dont. The same goes at home. I'll wipe, have alot (to me) of blood on the tissue, but when I go 20 minutes later there will be not one spot. I think the dr thought I was nuts. Luckily my husband had seen all the blood after my shower, because the doc seemed to blow it off till my hubby spoke up. Then the doc said that ' alot of blood' to him is blood gushing down and filling up your boots in 2 minutes. And if i'm not bleeding that much then not to worry. He asked if I had sex recently, which I hadnt because the last dr said complete pelvic rest. So then the doc tried to joke and said 'well, you had it atleast 14 weeks ago, so thats recent enough right?' and patted me on the hand and told me not to worry, and I can do my 'normal activities' even though the last two doctors told me partial bed rest. So after he left and I started to clean up from his exam, of course more blood, and still having it like every other time I go to the restroom. I do notice the bleeding picks up more after i've lifted anything, gone up the stairs or after a bm. Has anyone exxperienced this and gone on to have a healthy baby? I feel so alone, and like the docs dont care. Sometimes I feel like they know im going to misscarry but dont want to say anything because it's still to early to stop it. In addition to all of this I am extremly stressed out. Ive been having some marital issues and Im sure its not helping matters. It certainly makes me feel so, so alone. So if anyone is out there with any sort of advice, I would value it greatly. And thanks to all of you who are actually still reading this novel lol.

Just wanted to give you my experience.  I've had a decent amount of spotting with this pregnancy and my doctor doesn't seem that concerned as well.  she said the same exact thing..that spotting is actually fairly common and not to worry unless I'm filling a pad every hour like a normal, heavy period.  I've had brown blood, fresh bright red blood, and everything in between.  It comes and goes with sex and heavy lifting as well.  I think it's just what my body does because I've had it with my previous pregnancies also and everything has turned out fine.

I have freaked out a few times and had ultrasounds, convinced I had miscarried, but everything looks good.

Hope this makes you feel a little better!  I'd just say if you start spotting, use it as an excuse to rest up more and let your husband do some extra work around the house lol.

P.S. I also fell on my side/back yesterday going to the car and was worried but all seems well.  My husband and I also (sorry to be graphic) have some pretty "energetic" sex most nights, but unless the doctor tells me to stop I'm not going to lol.  I had some pretty strong "tightenings/contractions" in my uterus last night after but the doctor said that was pretty normal as well.

(I am 15 weeks along right now)

I just wanna send *Huggs* I can't imagine what your going threw. I never had bleeding. but recently I feel like I am  then I check and nothing.  I have heard of bleeding and people having healthy babies. My mom when she was pregnant with my brother she didnt even know she was pregnant until she was 7 months... She got her periods and everything, also was taking her birth control... My brother was her first and he is autistic, she thinks he is because of her taking the birth control almost the whole pregnancy... I just hope it gets better for you... and someone else replys that can relate to ya and make you feel a bit better...

I had a lot of early bleeding with my first pregnancy- They didn't seem concerned about it either. It turned out to be a placental bleed, as the placenta did not implant correctly. My daughter was born healthy, but small - low birthweight at 40 weeks. When the Dr. delivered the placenta she was shocked that it was so small- that's when I found out that yes, the bleeding had a reason but there was nothing that could have been done about it. I was glad to have found that out at some point. I was scared to death this pregnancy that the same thing would happen. In fact, at the exact same time I had some spotting- but nothing like the red blood/brown blood from the placenta. There are several different things that can cause a placental bleed- What to Expect talks a lot about them. But, your experience sounds a lot like mine. I now it's frustrating, but celebrate each day your pregnancy continues. And keep demanding that they check- it's your right too! The bleeding did stop eventually, in the 2nd trimester. One Dr. I saw because of the bleeding did tell me that one of his nurses bled her whole pregnancy, and the baby was fine. These things happen I guess, but it doesn't make it easier. Good luck!

I had bright red blood bleeding like every week to 2 weeks it seemed like during my first trimester and the last time was around 13 weeks. It freaked me out to the point I was crying thinking I'm losing my baby everytime. I'd go get checked and things were fine. They don't know why I bled either. But so far everything is fine and I haven't had any bleeding since week 13 (knock on wood). So I think it's true that everything could be fine. I totally took it easy and laid around too when I would spot. I don't know if that actually physically helps, but I think it does mentally. It helps you relax a little. I'm sorry about your personal issues that you're going through. It's very hard to relax and stay stress free when you're going through so much. I do understand that, just try to let things go. It will be better for you and baby. I hope things get better soon.

I wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you that took the time to share your experiences and kind words with me. Ive been feeling so terrible alone, and I am so greatful to be able to go on here and talk to you all. Its nice to have people who have gone thru the same things I am to share with. Im finally hitting the second trimester, and feeling a bit better physically, I just wish this bleeding would stop! I will keep you all updated on my progress, and hope you will do the same for me! I have never had a pregnancy like this before, my three boys it was like I wasnt pregnant at all, so all of these pregnancy symptoms are so new, even though being pregnant should be a peice of cake to me by now lol. Thanks again guy!!
