Neverous about no weight gain to date
That being said, the baby is probably taking everything it needs from you and the weight loss is probably (or hopefully not) a growth problem for the baby. My OB told me to shoot for 1,800 calories a day, 65 grams of protein and 100 carbs.
I wouldn't worry if I were you UNLESS your OB does an ultrasound and confirms that your baby is not growing well. I doubt that will be the case though as the baby will take the nutrients it needs from you. Plus, from what you posted that you eat in an average day, it looks like your are getting a balanced diet in with carbs & protein. You even eat more in a day than me and I'm almost 3 years out (but I've had major issues as well with eating). You might want to add a protein shake or maybe a No Sugar added Carnation Instant breakfast just for an added protein boost just because you're not a year out yet and that protein is very important.
Good luck to you and I hope everything works out and that everything is ok with baby! And make sure you stay on top of your vitamins!
Ok I have my surgery in mid April found out I was pregnant in the beginning of Sept. and then in October I found out Twins...yikes I thought... I had no clue as to how in hell I was gonna eat for 3. I am still quite large 353lbs and I lost 59 lbs already this pregnancy. I have been trying to stay at least at the same weight like my NUT want's me to do. Which was working for a few weeks I was at 356... then last week I started losing again... My babies are measuring just right maybe a few days smaller but growing so my OB isn't worried. My NUT was freaking me out telling me I had to gain weight and wanted me to eat 3000 cals a day... I thought she was nuts! I eat 1,700cals a day and have been the whole time. The high risk doctor where I go get my ultrasounds told me there is not reason for me to gain weight. the babies are fine and my OB agrees. I already wouldn't be surprised if I gain at the end but I feel great for being 25 weeks with twins, my belly is huge and stuff but I am just happy there healthy.
I'd say go see a NUT see what they have to say and if ur baby is measuring right and your labs are good I wouldn't worry too much... thats just me though...
