Update and a few minor issues
Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to post a brief update, since I haven't in a while. I am almost 23 wks. I went to the doctor on Friday because I have been have A LOT of heart palpitations, and frequent headaches. Not to mention I continue with the dizziness and blood rush to the head feeling when I stretch or stand up.
My BP is normal 122/80 and my urine is fine. I am not happy with my OB's in the practice. I had to see the one that I don't really care for at all. She came in the room for about 3 mins, the student listened to the baby, and she listened to my chest and back. She ordered a halter monitor for 24 hrs to record my heart activity. All she could say was I might be coming down with something or it could be normal and could get worse as I progress. No reasoning behind it. I know I am not coming down with anything. I constantly have sinus issues. I called back on Saturday and got my doctor who I love, (who is leaving the practice in March, so he won't be there to deliver) and I didn't even like his response. I described my headache and the palpitations and how the headache was ok while I was resting... but if I moved or stood up it hurt. He gave me nothing to go on... said if I felt bad enough to go to the ER. FUNNY.. I thought I had a DOCTOR for a reason. I don't want to go to a F-ing ER doctor unless it is an emergency. I want him to tell me... should I be concerned... should I go to the ER or what. I'm not a doctor... I called him to advise ME. So I am calling on Monday to see if the doctors office that is down the street from my house will take me on at 23 wks. I now drive 1 hour to this practice... why waste my time/energy and gas money?
I have gained 4-6 lbs. Last week it was 4, this week it was 6, but I didn't take my boots off this week. LOL
Oh and Miss Sydnee Ann turns 2 on Thursday. YAY... can't believe it was almost 2 years ago that my precious little girl came into our lives.
Hugs to all

That's pretty crappy!! It's a shame they treat pregnant folks that way. Do you have any way to check your BP at home? Are you drinking or consuming caffeine, chocolate? Are you taking any OTC cold or allergy remedies?
I think they were spot on to do a holter monitor. An EKG at that point wouldn't do very much good in the case of palpatations unless you were having an episode at the exact second that they were doing an EKG. The holter will give them a better picture. I've worn one twice and also done a 21 day monitoring. I was very happy with the results that we were able to gain from the holter. ALthough, if you have no symptoms while having the holter, that can be frustrating too.
As for the headache, I'm at a loss unless you're dehydrated or it's a sinus headache or maybe the times you're having a headache, your BP is high? I don't know, but I sure hope this gets better for you. Maybe after the holter comes back, they'll check some things in your labs and just be sure that you're not deficient in anything. Maybe you can get your surgeon to check on that? I hope you feel better!!
