I have those episodes when sugar drops...I think by all means its worth a call...if it is something like sugar or BP it won't show up in those blood test most likely.

Hope you are feeling better and these disappear ...Stacey

Thank you Stacey for the response.

I think it might be the early signs of dehydration but I am going to run it by my OB at my appointment next Monday.

I actually had it happen once to me about a year ago when I was DRIVING on the freeway at 70 mph!!   I got really dizzy and the road started spinning- it lasted thankfully just for like 5 seconds, but it really freaked me out!

My doctor says it can sometimes happen when you are slightly dehydrated, so make sure to drink lots of water, especially now that you are pregnant (at least 64 oz a day).  It can also be a dip in blood sugar or blood pressure.   It's commmon in WLS patients when they go from a standing to a sitting position, can't remember what it's called when it happens though.

I have become slightly hypoglycemic in the last 2 months in my pregnancy, so I have to eat something if I feel strange, to help my blood sugar go up and feel normal again.   Some symptoms are sometimes dizziness, extreme fatigue, and nausea.   I had my blood sugar levels tested one time and they were 71, so on the borderline for hypoglycemia and so I know I have to carry around snacks with me all the time.

Hit goal weight of 140 at 13 months out from RNY!! 130 pounds GONE!

That sounds quite scary and would probably stop me from driving for a while.

I am going to try and up my water intake because it could be that. Ive always survived on less water because my body has always retained it but Im guessing now I might need more (between this happening and the swelling in my feet are signs to me).

thankfully I dont think its hypoglycemia. I did a fasting blood test and the A1C and both my sugar range was fine and in the middle, not near either border. I also dont have trouble after eating any foods (yet) and it can range from and include pancakes, chocolate cake, cereal, etc.

I have had this happen too - hubby will come into the room and find me sitting on the floor with a bottle of water and a glass of OJ. I am always afraid that I'll fall off of the chair or not make it so I sit right on the floor at the fridge. I have had it happen 2-3 times over the last 24 weeks and I will definately be mentioning it to the OB when I see her on Tuesday.

Hope that it stays at bay!

Lol thanks Liz.

I had never worried about the actuality of passing out until last night and this has happened about 3 other times since being pregnant. I will def make sure to get my butt sitting on something no matter where I am when I start feeling this way.

Yes..it has happened to me several times.  It can be a sign of dehydration, low blood pressure or low sugar levels.  I am very hyperglycemic, so I have to make sure that I eat something at least every 2 hours.  I have noticed that I can't stand still for more than a few mins without getting dizzy.

I think that it just comes with the territory, but definitely check with your OB.

Thanks for the response.

I highly doubt it is hypoglycemia as I have no other symptoms of it and my sugars are just fine. I think I am good to bet on dehydration creeping up on me since my feet have been swelling a little lately too. Today I have had over 60 oz of fluid (my usual is about 40-50 by bedtime) and will probably drink another 5-10 before bed. I am going to aim for the same for the next few days and see if the swelling goes down.

I fainted at 18 weeks while satanding in line and if I don't sit down frequently, I get dizzy....drink more water and eat more often, that is the advice the doctors gave me!
