I've been sad this week.  I never thought I was the type of person who would be so completely devastated about putting a pet to sleep.  It was honestly one of the worst days of my life.  I am still so sad, but I realize life needs to go on.  We are framing a picture of our little Butter man and hanging it up next to our bed, his favorite place to sleep.  We will always miss him, and never forget how special he was to us.

Today, my mom took my hubby and I out to buy our crib and stroller!  It dawned on me that a baby will be here in 11 weeks.  That's like...soon. Wow.  We ended up with a crib/changing table combo on sale at sears and the mattress was free with the deal.  It was a 100 dollar mattress.  Then we also got our stroller!  We found the perfect one, also on sale.  I am sooooo sick of the pink and brown combo for girls, I just do not like it at all.  We got an evenflo travel system that is navy blue and pink!  It's so cute!  Here's the links to both, BTW the sale just started today so if you have a kmart or sears near you and are looking for a good crib they have it there.

I agree...tired of the brown & pinks for baby girls. I like the navy blue & pink stroller! Also, very sorry to hear about your kitty. I know what it's like to have to put a loved pet down. My sheltie we had for over 14 years was having a lot of medical issues and she was always in pain so we had to make that hard choice. It was the humane thing to do. Now little Butter is no longer in pain. Maybe after your little baby comes you can get hera  new little pet she can grow up with.

I understand the pink and brown combo...we originally painted the room which was going to be the nursery green (before knowing sex) and was going to alter to purple and green when we found out a girl.  But my husband changed his mind and put my step daughter in the green room and putting the nursery in the pink room (it was already like that when we bought the house).  I did get out of the disney'/character stuff (not sure why I am not a fan of that stuff) and got a really nice bedding set from JCPennys with butterflies and ladybugs on it.  (Well thanks to Mom, that's what she wanted to buy us)..

I am right behind you  (in both pregnancy and purchases) my husband has been on an underway so out plan is when he returns this week we will head out this weekend and pick up the crib.  We decided on one at Target, but the one you got looks nice...we might have to check it out.

Good luck on the rest of your 11 weeks..

Stacey

PS...real sorry to hear about your cat...no matter how long or how old animals are they still are part of the family.

I totally understand about the pink and brown stuff. I usd to like it before it was the only option! I don't know if I am having a girl or boy yet so I don't know if it will even be an issue when we go to buy stuff. I actually don't mind the brown & blue for boys though.

I an so sorry about your kitty. I told my hubby about it this weekend and showed him the pic of butter. We were both really sad because we adore our pets and the thought of putting either of them down is devastating! I am glad you have the baby to look forward to.

Mommy to 2 of the most beauiful little girls in the whole universe and still in love with my hubby of 8 years. LIFE IS GOOD!

I decided a long time ago that I was not going to do pink for a girl.  It can become to much.  I collect teddy bears and since there are so many different colors in the bears, we have decided to do a cream and tan room with the bears.  If we have a boy, my husband love Ohio State, so we will be doing Ohio State.
I have been looking at cribs.  We are going to wait until my big ultrasound to find out what we are having to decide which one to get, but I have my eye on the one you got.  I was thinking white for a girl and the brown for a boy.  I just think it is the one that makes the most sense.
