Gabriel is here. 2 trips to NICU in one week.

My plan was to post Gabriel's birth story today but he had other plans.  Here is the short version my cousin posted on Facebook for family today:  He was born 1/18/10 and on Tuesday, nurses noticed his lips turned blue when he ate, sent him to Children's and they didn't find anything and sent him home and told his mom and dad to keep an eye him.   He started vomiting blood last night and they can't find out where the bleeding is coming from, so thay have turned him over to the doctors in the NICU. Hopefully they can figure out what is going on.

Here's the lastest as of tonight:
Rob and I are staying in Ronald McDonald House tonight that is in the hospital. They will do an upper GI in the morning and an echo of his heart. They had to put him on oxygen this afternoon. All tests are coming back "normal" and they say he looks "very healthy." It's frustrating not knowing what's wrong with my baby. Alex is staying with Pap and Grandma.

I hope they find out soon for you and that it's nothing serious.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this.  I'm sure it's frustrating.  My little guy spent time in NICU, and I know how nerve-wracking it can be.  Your family will be in my prayers.

Congrats on Gabriel's arrival.  I pray they find out what's wrong - and that it's easily 'fixable' - so he can come home and stay home.
