did you do the glucola drink? If so, because we had the RNY it can make the test results inaccurate because our body processes sugar differently now. My bariatric doc said not to do the glucola drink because first of all, it will make me dump (it has 50 gms of sugar) and the amount they want me to drink in 3-5 mins is too much for me to down in that amount of time. And he says since we've had the RNY, that doing the glucola drink will make the blood test afterwards inaccurate because of how we process sugar now.
I just had a hemoglobin A1C test done instead, it looks at how my blood sugar has been over a period of time. I actually just got the results of it back yesterday and I'm fine, it was 5.2 and normal is between 4.8 and 5.6. But I had my glucose levels tested an hour after I ate and they were 71, which is hypoglycemic (opposite of GD).
I bet you'll pass the 3 hr and be fine. Maybe ask if you could do the hemoglobin A1C test instead?
