JUST FOUND OUT I AM PREGNANT
Hi there! Do you go by Michelle or Shelly?
first of all, congrats!
is this your first baby?
I would say enjoy it all, make sure you take your vitamins and supplements. Prenatal vitamin too. Get your protein in, 80 to 100 grams a day. Add in carbs as well. protein shakes work well for getting it all in.
Hope you have a healthy and happy 9 months!

either is fine, no this is not my first baby actually its my 5th. but its my first since surgery.. and i am basically trying to find out should expect the same as the others ... i have my first prenatal appointment feb 25.. i had all vaginal births. i read that women that had gastric bypass are 2x likely to have cseaction.. lol ty
I haven't heard of women having to have C-sections cuz of surgery. I had to have them because I had one with my first. But not cuz of surgery. There are many women on this board that have had vaginal births. I am sure you will be fine as well if all your others were born that way.
The only thing different this time around is vitamins and protein, and making sure our lab work is good. The baby can take alot from our bodies. I know that I am anemic from surgery and it gets worse when I am pregnant. This is my second post op baby. I had a very health 8 pound 11 oz. girl the last time. So far so good with this pregnancy as well.
take care,
Bambi

Hi Shelly,
I don't mind you asking at all.
With my son, who was pre-op, I gained over 65 pounds.
after surgery with my daughter I gained 45, lost all but 10.
With this baby I am 16 weeks and I have only gained 2 pounds so far. I have been going up and down...but the scales are always just 2 pounds off.
I am hoping to not gain as much weight with this baby as I did my second child. But I started this pregnancy out 30 pounds heavier. I had gained about 20 pounds over the summer from bad eating choices. So after this baby is born, I will be back on track and hopefully losing the baby weight and the extra that I had gained.
My husband plays a ton of softball and we would go to his games, all around dinner time, so I started eating a bunch of ballpark food. not good, but learned my lesson.
