This is a FEMALE problem, may be TMI?
OK, i have been on this forum wandering around just because I have not found another just women thing
I had my RNY on Feb 9, 2009. I have been very normal sense up until November. I was about 2 weeks late, then I finally got it. Now I get a period every other week! Now I have been to my OB/GYN and he is not sure what is wrong. I asked him to do more than just ANOTHER exam. Now after the first of the year I lost my health insurance and I am still having thins issue. It is really getting out of control, and I don't know what to do.
Oh and I have been on the border of Anemia sense surgery.
Any input would help! Like I said I know this is the Pregnancy board, but hoping that someone knows or has been through this.

Granted, I had a VSG, but yes, I've had a VERY similar problem. Two weeks on the rag, one week off. Repeat over and over again. It sucks.
The doctor says it's not normal (well duh!), but he wasn't terribly concerned. He gave me a prescription for Prometrium. I'm supposed to take it for the same 7 calendar days each month for the next 6 months, then report back to him.
Odd, but whatever. If it levels out my cycle to something a little more normal, I'll take it. I'm SOOO sick of bleeding already!
Good luck!

I had an IUD placed after my daughter was born and had NO period at all......until I had the lapband and started to lose weight. I noticed the more weight I lost the more frequent my periods were, when I stalled my periods stalled....the explanation from my OB/GYN is "estrogen is stored in fat and when you lose fat the estrogen is released in the blood causing irregular periods"!!
