So much I don't know
- a sling. Babywearing is sooo good for both you and the baby. I reccomend Hotsling, Peanut Shell, or Baby K'Tan
- Boppy Cradle In Comfort - it's Lydia's favorite place to chill
- flanned water pproof lap pads. I use them on her changing table all the time.
- clother diapers - they are sooo absorbant for spills, spit up - whatever!
- Baby Legs legwarmers - in our weather, its often cold in the morning and warm later on, so legwarmers paired with onesies are the best!
- simple clothing - everyone is going to want to buy you adorable clothes, but for the first five months or so, it was sleepers, onesies, and jumpers.
- Target Brand diapers instead of the super expensive name brands. There was a post stating that the Costco brand is great, too
- Kirkland wipes. Awesome. They would clean an oil spill.
- Highland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets - lifesavers!
- The Fisher Price Rainforest Peek-A-Boo Leaves Mobile is the best! Not as cutesy as the ones that match the bedding, but waaay better! http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JIHP88/ref=asc_df_B000JIHP88101 3426?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=googlecom09c9-20&linkCode=asn&cr eative=380341&creativeASIN=B000JIHP88
- and this thing ... Lydia can turn it on and off by herself now, and it helps her sleep, too ... I love it!

Have fun!
I'll give you advice on what NOT to buy. Don't buy too many clothes. They outgrow them SO fast they'll never wear all of them that you buy. Not a lot of toys. They usually love things that AREN'T toys to play with, ie. empty bottles, plastic cups, bowls & spoons, paper ****il they start putting it in their mouth....lol) old remotes or cell phones without the batteries...whatever is MORE fun than the 20 dollar toy you just bought them....lol
Things I couldn't live without besides the obvious things (cribs, diapers, clothes, bottles etc.)
Bouncy Seat that vibrates
A Bumbo seat
A swing
Pack n play (if you travel alot, take baby to grandparents, or have a 2 story...crib upstairs pack n play downstairs=godsend)
Sometimes less is more but I think that's only something that you learn after having additional children. It's insane the astronomical amount of stuff that we sometimes end up buying for a 1st child and how little we can get buy with needing when we have our 3rd or 4th child. Like a diaper changing table is useless for me personally. I use a big diaper changing blanket that is specially made for that purpose and put it on the bed. I don't buy those thin little bath towel hoodie things because they just get too wet and don't dry the baby very well and make them freezing cold in the process. I just use our regular towels. Now I DO like the baby wash rags because they wash em up better in my opinion. Easier to maneuver around their little cracks and crevices...lol. I also like the little blow up ducky bathtub better than those plastic tubs. You can put more water in them so that most of the baby is sticking out of the water freezing their fannies off. We can put ours on our bathroom counter and then pull it over 6 inches to the sink to drain it and then hang the duck over our shower door to dry out for next time. After having so many children, I guess I just learned by trial and error and learned what to spend money on, what's a waste, what is too much or not enough, and what works and what doesn't. In the end, it's all a personal preference and what things work best in your family.
