Lamaze?? Or videos for it?

So Atlanta must not be into lamaze, because all the classes I can find that are taught are either basic childbirthing classes, Bradley method, or hypnobirthing(what the heck is that?)

But, my cousin's wife got so into lamaze with their first baby that she became a lamaze coach and is now going back to school to become a midwife.  They can't say enough about lamaze.  So...is it worth it?   I found a video on ebay(obviously from the 80s) but it has great reviews.  Its kind of class in itself on lamaze. 

What do you guys think?

I have that video. It is definitly from about 1983 but the lamaze part is good. We aren't going to be able to fit a class into our schedules so this is the route I went. They show a vaginal delivery and a c-section and a lot of the equptment is outdated, but most of the info is valid.

Thanks Liz!  I went ahead and ordered it.  I think we are gonna go ahead with the childbirth class at the hospital too just to get the feel for how they do things, but I want to learn more about lamaze.  It sounds good in theory anyway.  Way better than hypnobirthing.  Not trying to be funny...but I'd rather not be hypnotized while trying to give birth(LOL).

lol I think that it is self hypnosis - there was a woman on here who SWORE by it for I think several natural births.
