Baby Perfect

I went into my RE for my 8 1/2 week appointment today. I am 8 weeks and 4 days and the baby measured 8 weeks and 2 days (when I was 6 weeks and 4 days it measured 6 weeks and 2 days). It was just AMAZING!!

We saw the umbilical cord, the head, the arm nubs, leg nubs, and heard the heartbeat. It was 150 beats per minute. The RE was so excited and so was hubby and I. We are just blown away. This is the furthest we have gotten in my four pregnancies.

The RE spent time with me and said now he wants me to enjoy my pregnancy and NO WORRYING! He said the baby is perfect and to put last year behind us. I go for my OB nurse visit on Tuesday.

It doesn't get any better than that...or at least not until a few months down the road when you're holding your little one for the first time. I can't wait to hear about that experience.

Thanks Holly! The look my husbands face was the best thing in the world. When it flashed up and there was something that had a shape of a baby and not a blob he said "oh my God, that is our baby". Then, when they played the heartbeat-he teared up. He tried to hide it but I caught him!

Thank you Janessa. The road less us to this point. We are just going to kind of take it easy until week 14 and then we will share the news with everyone. I can't wait for that day! Our parents will be ECSTATIC!

Awesome Traci!!! What a fantastic report. Congrats and happy dance for you! Enjoy the pregnancy! I bet you were so excited to see and hear everything. I'm so happy for you!

Thanks, Debbi! Yes, it was a relief to get to this point. We still have a long way to go but we are excited for the process.
