Ladies,

Very sensitive subject, PUN intended. My breasts hurt like it is no tomorrow. Not just sensitive but sharp shooting pain. I have pain in both of them that makes we want to scream out loud. It lasts as long as it takes the 2 extra strength tylenol to kick in and happens multiple times throughout the day. It is never the same times, I know the cold can trigger it so I wrap up really well wear padded bras and thick shirt/sweaters under coat and scarf. yet indoors it happens too. I cried myself to sleep last night because the tylenol took at least 30 min to kick in. Has anyone had this much pain and what have you done to relieve it. I mentioned it in the beginning but hoped it would go away...its gotten worse...thanks for any advice.

No advice just "I'm Sorry!"  .. at least it's all worth it in the end.

No clue...but hope someone comes up w/something.  Have you asked your dr about it?  Have you tried a heating pad?  Is it possible that your bra isn't giving enough support?  I'm sure you've figured out by now that your boobs grow w/your belly...and if your bra isn't fitting properly or supporting them enough, it may be what's making them hurt?  If it's bad enough to make you cry yourself to sleep and/or even take tylenol...I'd ask.  I never had that much discomfort when I was pg w/my son.

I had that problem with my first! It ended up being an infection in the milk glands. you should see your OB, if that is what it is, it will not get better until it is treated with an antibiotic. Take care and I hope it gets better.

Thanks for the information. I will mention it again to my doc. Last times she said it was just the growing pains and that my body was producing milk ducts so I figured she'd say the same thing again

I have pain in my breasts, but nothing like you are describing.  Definitely bring it back up with your OB.

I hope that it gets better soon.  Take care..

I'm only a little further along than you but my boobs just started some strange burning.  I asked today and this is right when they say your milk starts to come in.  It's very uncomfortable.  I bet that has something to do with it!  hope you feel better!

Spoke to my dr.'s office today and they gave me an appt. for Friday. They think its still the milk coming in but want to check for redness and swelling and temperature, which I don't have one, the surrounding area is very hot to the touch though. Thanks for the words of comfort and advice.

My do that from time to time....just feels like some one stabbing em.  I also notice (hopefully not to much TMI) that my nipples began to take a weird shape during the pain...hard to explain without seeing it, but I ask my experienced sister about it and she said that's what happened when her milk came in at 5 months.....so that could be it...my comes and goes.

Good Luck!  Stacey
