hello..question?????????
hello ladies
im having a litle problem with fiance...I wanted to get the twins ears pierced this up-coming saturday..he agrred...now he is backing down he says he feels sorry for them, i told him its better now since they already had their first round of shots and being that they will be turning 3 months this friday i told him it should be ok.
I had my 10yr old daughters ears pierced at 2 months...he is going against it and called him mother and told her how he felt now she is telling me to wait.
Im mad just because he has to consult with her about everything and then she makes me feel like an idiot that does not know anything.
I felt like telling her yesterday " i raised 2 kids on my own and I did a good job"
But I didnt want to be desrespectful.
Im still going to take the twins on Sat to get their ear pierced and I hope it doesnt back fire on me.
How long did you wait to get your lil girls ears pierced?

I had mine done young so I didn't exactly agree. Now I think when she is older we could give it to her as a b-day present and make a big deal out of it. I do think it should be a mutual decision between your husband and you. I might not agree but it is a big decision we should agree on it. Or just tell him not to go and he won't have to see the short tears! :)
So with my baby girl, hers will be done around 3 months. BTW how are those precious joys doing? Did you all get the puking and digestive problems under control?

They are doing good..better than before.
They still have to see GI doctor a few more times but they say other than twin A's stomach looking a little larger than normal she is doing great.
Baby B is good her tummy looks fine and the only problem she is having is the GERD well both of them do.
But I guess with the age its getting better I get 2 extra hrs of sleep now YAY!..lol.
Reading your post it comes to my mind that over there a good mom of a lil girl MUST have the baby girl's ears pierced on her first or second day of life, at the maternity.
It is actually customary that the grandma or someone from the family takes care of getting a mini baby earring, usually a tiny little ball, in 18K gold, so the baby's ear won't reject it... something about gold.
The nurses are the ones that pierce the newborn ears.
In fact it would be weird to wait to have them pierced later. Honestly, the dads there wouldn't have a chance in having a saying on this custom .
