Is this possible? "Long"

Now I am just curious if this is possible. My hubby and I were laying in bed last night and I had one of each baby in each rib cage, totally where they like to hide now, and thats where they were for the ultrasound yesterday. But I was still feeling movement down low and I mean low. and my hubby thinks we might have 3 in there and they didn't see the one. I was positive there was a girl last US just before Christmas and they made me hold up my extra skin then and got my lil girl or so I though right next to the exit. And on Monday my OB got a heart beat Low same area. Now for my US they never made me hold my skin up to check lower my the exit like they normally do. Now I know the babies are bigger so they can be seen without the skin lifting..lol but by any weird slim chance that I could have another they don't see? Possibly because they think I  have 2 so the first 2 found is the 2 they take? lol I think I only have the 2 in there but my hubby seems to think we have a girl hiding in there still...haha thanks to anyone who just puts in there opinion, please nothing mean, It's just a question or possibility.

I think that by 23 weeks they would have been able to easily see a third baby in there.

I know with just one that Elijah was quite a mover.  He could be up under my rib cage, then kicking my cervix, then transverse, then head down--always kicking and punching.  And he could really stretch--I'd feel him under my ribs and hitting my cervix.  The doc's office never found the heart beat in the same spot--he was just all over the place.

Don't hesitate to request another ultrasound to check though.

It actually sounds possible to me.  If you have a bigger abdomen there COULD be a baby hiding in there.  Next time you have an OB appt I would ask.  After all it's not unheard of!

I agree with the pp.  By 23 weeks they would have picked up 3 different heartbeats and/or seen all 3 on ultrasound.   My LO moved constantly and was never still.  I sometimes wondered if I had 2 in there but of course ultrasound only showed 1.

Howdy Chrissy!

Tell hubby not to get his hopes up lol. At this point, they would've picked up a third if it was in there. But I had the same concerns (I swear my OB must be getting tired of me and my worries lol). She told me that even though I know she is clearly by my belly button from the last kick I felt, its not uncommon for the next one to be felt down in my uterus by my crotch. She explained that when they kick in there it sends vibrations throughout the placenta so the feelings can be felt elsewhere. Think of how dopplers can pick up your heart beat down by your pelvic bone. Hope I did a semi-good job of explaining that.

Hey Chrissy,

My husband says the same thing. That there may still be another one in there they haven't seen. By 23 weeks I think we should have seen or heard something. My US have been clear and I just can't believe a fully growing baby could hide that much from everyone. Many of the hiding babies happened before sonograms were being done so frequently during the pregnancy. I keep saying, I wouldn't mind two, but I'd sure like to know about before D-day.

It does still happen. About 8 years ago I had a patient go for a c/s and after the baby was delivered and they were about to close the assisting doctor said "I feel another foot" and low and behold there was another one.  Very small chance of that happening but it does.  The main doctor was also a high risk doctor and was extremely shocked with the twins but said one was always hiding behind the other.
