I really enjoy reading these posts.  I'm pre-op right now and at @360 pounds I know it's not safe for me to get pregnant.  I'm very much looking forward to being post op so that I can lose the weight and hopefully get pregnant.
If all goes well I'm hoping to get pregnant @ 18 months post op and that will bring me to my 39th birthday.  I have no children and know that I've always wanted to be a mother.  I was a bit freaked out about being older having children, but I decided on surgery first and if the only issue is my age then that's better than high blood pressure and being obese.
Good luck to you!!!!

It's not how long it "took" me. But how long I waited. I was 3.5 years post op with my first post op baby. 5 years with 2nd post op baby.

Not that anyone has to wait that long. But it is recommended to wait for various health and nutritional reasons.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

You guys are awesome here on this board! So many replies! I'm enchanted. I'm certainly going to at least lurk around before getting preggers and will certainly be a more participative member once I'm a mom-to-be.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
