Went to the RE today
Well I just got back from my appt. Basically the Dr thinks that my problems are simply bad luck.
As my husband and I already have had a child together and my cycle is normal. I am ovulating and getting pregnant. He said that I need to keep taking the prenatal vitamins, Also extra folic acid and I could add 1 baby aspirin. Do you guys know if a baby aspirin is ok to take after gastric bypass?
Now he said if it happens again we will look into it further. I feel pretty good about it all. I paid $125 for the office visit. They said they will give me that in credit for any future procedures. That's nice so if I do get pregnant soon I can go in and have an ultrasound and only pay $25. I also am so happy to be starting a new cycle after 56 days I was ready to see AF.

Ideally, no, baby aspirin is not a good idea. It CAN irritate your pouch and the lining of the remnant stomach -- which can lead to an ulcer in an area that cannot be scoped.
However, it's one of those things that you have to sit down and decide which is more important to you and weigh the risks versus the benefits. It's something that only you can decide -- but it's something you should decide with the help of preferably your surgeon or a doctor that understands the risks 100%. I'm guessing the RE does not.
I'm not going to tell you that taking the baby aspirin is a bad idea. I'm also not going to tell you that taking it will definately cause you an ulcer. I know you want a baby, and I know that this is the recommendation from the RE to help in that regard.
I will simply tell you that NSAIDs of any stripe -- whether they are enteric coated, a patch, IV, or swallowed work systemically throughout the body, thin the mucosal linings of the stomach and pouch, and increase the risk of ulcers. There are certain medications (PPIs) that will lower the amount of stomach acid that could harm the stomach, and might mitigate the damage of the baby aspirin -- but these are things you should speak to your surgeon about and make an informed decision about.
