Should I be worried about this?
Did they say they're going to do further testing or did they suggest that you do something for it? Surely they didn't just tell you something like that and send you on your way??
Here's what BabyCenter says:
Protein
Excess protein in your urine can be a sign of a UTI, kidney damage, or certain other disorders. Later in your pregnancy, it can also be a sign of preeclampsia if it's accompanied by high blood pressure. If you have protein in your urine but your blood pressure is normal, your sample will be sent to the lab for a culture to see whether you have a UTI.
Ketones
Ketones are produced when the body starts breaking down stored or ingested fat for energy. This can happen when you're not getting enough carbohydrates (your body's usual source of energy).
If you're suffering from severe nausea and vomiting or you've lost weight, your practitioner may check your urine for ketones. If your ketone reading is high and you can't keep any food or liquid down, you may need intravenous fluids and medication. If ketones are found in combination with sugar, it could be a sign of diabetes.

Lap Band September 2007 / Slip discovered March 2014 after significant regain / Revised to VSG April 29, 2014
They said they are sending it out for a culture and will call me and let me know the results and told me to just make sure I am getting in at least a gallon of water a day and getting my protein and vitamins in which I am...just going to up my water intake...I get in about 64 oz now, but I will make sure I get a gallon in.
Just wondering if anyone knew or had experienced this before?

High ketones can mimic a UTI, and yes, is worrisome.
You need to make sure you are getting in more fluids to help dilute the ketones, and you need to get in more carbs.. at least 100g a day. How many are you getting?
Something that might help are ketostix available at the pharmacy in the diabetic section. They tell you how many ketones are in your urine.
