I need some feedback here please...If I am pregnant, it was not planned.

Ive been on TriNessa for almost a year, so Im fully aware of how my body reacts to it. On December 11th I got a case of food poisoning, which caused me to miss my birth control for two days. On December 14th, I started bleeding which didnt stop for 5 days. I guess it triggered an early period despite doubling up to get back on track. On December 25, I had unprotected sex and have several times since. I wanted to try Seasonique to avoid having a period...which I started on December 27. Almost immediately, I started feeling moody, bloated, and very crampy!!! I never had these symptoms before with Trinessa. I never had any breakthrough bleeding at all. After a week of it, I had enough and went back on Trinessa. Ive been back on Trinessa for little over a week. I took a HPT on January 9th, which is 27 days after December 4th. It was negative. I was breathing a sigh of relief, but my boobs are abnormally sore  and sensitive.  and last night I had some brown spotting in my panties.

Im not sure what to do. I thought when I took the HPT that I could breathe a sigh of relief. But its exactly 28 days later with mysterious spotting.....and Ive been like clockwork taking Trinessa since. Ive never had break through bleeding before with it, especially when Im taking it exactly as prescribed. Combined with my boobs, cramping, and mood swings still, I dont know what to think here. I know I havent been as careful as I should be..... What do you all think I should do?

I would wait a few more days and take another HPT.   Hopefully it's just your hormones being crazy from the change in BC pills.

Take another test or call your doc for a blood test.

I agree with the previous poster that you should wait a few days and test again.

Speaking from experience though I got pregnant with my son while on birth control pills.  I didn't fill my prescription on time and I figured it was no big deal if I doubled up.  So I missed days 1 and 2 but doubled up on days 3 and 4.  Make sense?  Anyhow I got pregnant that month.  Needless to say I was shocked!  When I told my OB what happened he said that the first week or two of your pills are very important especially the first few days.  I read the directions and I didn't remember it saying don't miss the first few days of your pills or you can get pregnant.  lol  I am very pleased with the outcome now but it was quite the ride then.

Good luck!

I missed day 7 and 8. I doubled up on day 9. But my period was also triggered that day too.
