Extreme Skin Issues
Okay ladies, I am hoping there are someone else who found a solution for this. In the past several weeks my skins has become so dry on my legs, I can hardly stand it. It is almost like rug burn all over them. My arms are bad; but I they are not as painful as my legs. I have tried every Palmer oil and lotion there is (even tried a bath solution)...and it burns like fire when I put it on and helps a little; however, the minute I begin to walk around, it is like someone has put a match to my legs. The last three days it has gotten severe. I showed my husband how bad they were last night and his eyes nearly popped out of his head. They feel like sandpaper and everything I wear on my legs rub them raw.
Has anyone had any luck with any products for severe skin? Anyone's dr given them any medication to help? Any suggestions would be hellpful....
Thanks in advance-Stacey

I have SUPER sensitive and Super dry skin. I use pure coconut oil. You can get it at a health food store or the organic section of a larger grocery store (Whole Foods, Wegmans etc) it is in the aisle with the cooking oils. It comes in a small tub and looks like crisco.
Here's what I do. Put some of the coconut oil in a plasic cup with a spoon - take it into the shower - shower as normal in warm (not ho****er - ho****er makes it worse) water. AT the end of your shower slather yourself down with the oil, it'll melt as you rub it on your skin. Turn off the water and pat dry (don't rub you'll rub it all off), put on your jammies and off to bed! (I wear my long johns) in the morning your skin will feel MUCH better - always works for me. I do this almost every night right now - my belly is so itchy!
Hope you feel better!

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUES ON MY ARMS ..LEGS AND EVEN MY BACK (SIDES)
HOT BATHS AND SHOWERS DO TEND TO MAKE IT WORSE.
RIGHT AFTER I BATHE HOWEVER AND DRY OFF I USE BENEDRYL ( THIS NUMBS THE SKIN AND STOPS THE BURN AND ITCH... AND IS SAFE YOU CAN GET IT IN A SPRAY..WHEN I AM REALLY BAD OFF IT DOES BURN FOR LESS THAN A MIN. ) THEN WHEN I THINK IT IS DRY I SLATHER ON AQUAPHOR OINTMENT ( I BUY IT IT IN THE TUB) MAJOR RELIEF...AT LEAST FOR ME.
I HOPE YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT WORKS .....

I had to pick up some vitamin E oil- it's a little pricey for a tiny bottle, but worth it. I rub it in any time, day or night that my skin is bothering me. After about 3 days of that, my skin was back to normal, and I can use it once a day now. Just another option- Haven't tried the coconut oil.
