3 godparents? or 2 sets per child (catholic)
my twins will be baptized within the next few months and i have 4 female family members to choose from and they are all good choices
godfather will be my brother for both, he also baptized my daughter last year
i dont know how to narrow down my choices without offending anyone
any clues???

As far as narrowing down the choices, that is something only you and your hubby can decide. I need to start coming up with my selections VERY soon
Our church (Catholic) does not require that the godparent be Catholic, but the stand-in must be. My brother, who is as Jewish as can be and is a Cantor, will be Maryn's godfather.
So like the others stated, it depends on the church.
Good Luck,

Just assuming none of them cross-dress or have deep voices and can pose as men??? Kidding! Here's a thought, perhaps I'm not a religious purist here but what is the harm in calling all of them godparents in your mind and the child's throughout it's life? Belief and Faith is at the crux of the religion. If your child believes they are all godparents and all of these women act that part, then they are. The role of a godparent is to back up the parents in case anything happens and help guide the child throughout it's life to walk in the faith, keep it on the straight and narrow. So, what say, God Forbid, the one woman you pick now is killed before your child reaches 10, or you have a falling out with her in 2 years and she's banned from your house...what, no one else steps in to fill the void??? The child rots in Hell? No. None of that happens. Certainly you can choose a person to be in the church representing all 4 of them and the pictures at the party etc. feature all 4 equally. Don't overthink it, it will take the joy out of it.
