I think you are right he is just a faster eater when hungry. When my breasts still feel full that is when I pump. Thanks it is very good to know that there are other babies who were quick nursers. And I am making a nice collection of milk in the freezer too

One thing I remembered.  If you think your milk is coming out too fast for him you can pump an ounce or so out of each breast before feeding him.    For whatever reason my let down in my left breast was a lot faster than Hannah could handle.   Instead of pumping I would feed her on the right side first and the left one would always leak enough that it wouldn't strangle her as bad.

I don't think he's just snacking.  If so, he wouldn't be gaining any weight because he wouldn't be getting the high milk where all the calories are.  I agree with the other's that he's just a fast eater and obviously a great nurser.  He may be feeding that often in order to build your supply up if he's getting ready to do a growth spurt.

thank you, he is a great nurser, we are due for a growth spurt it has been a while!! :-) he hit 18lbs at 4 months he will 5 months on Wed.
