Weight changes.

so I'm 7 months post-op and 7 weeks preggo. I find myself needing to eat every 2 hours (just a lil at a time) to keep myself from feeling very nausated, shakey, and weak. I have lost 5lbs in one week, but even with all the loose skin/flab I still in my stomach, I do feel alittle tightness in my clothing fitting. I don't go to the dt.'s til Monday, but I'm worried about the weight. Am I going to continue loosing weight and just gain a "baby belly," or even though I don't want to, am I supposed to be gaining weight? I'm not throwing up to say for morning sickness, just very nausated almost all the time. This is my third pregnancy, 4th child, so I should be a pro at this, but I've never been so scared!

With both of my pregnancies I lost weight in the beginning.   Just eat as healthy as you can and take your vitamins.   Congrats!

I don't know...what's your BMI currently?

Mine is about 30 and I asked my nurse practitioner about weight gain and she said if I only gained 5 pounds for the whole pregnancy it would be alright.  Because I'm still overweight.

I'm thinking I'll probably gain more than that but I'll deal with any weight issues *after* the little one is born.  Right now I don't really care as long as the baby is doing alright.

I am considered overweight.  I am 6 months pregnant and have gained 18lbs.  It doesnt bother me at all.. as long as the baby is healthy.  My doctor told me 3 lbs a month is a good number.
