OR IS IT JUST DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH WE GAIN ETC. JUST AS A NORMAL PREGNANCY?
MY FIRST BABY WAS 10.9 AND MY SECOND 7.5 ( I HAD DIABETES WITH HER)
THIS BABY AL THO I AM 30 WEEKS AT THIS POINT ACCORDING TO THE DR IS "NORMAL"
BUT DON'T OUR BABIES GAIN THEIR WEIGHT MOSTLY IN THE LAST MONTH?
JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT IT..

I don't think so.  My first was over 10 pounds and that was before I had surgery.  I got pregnant with my daughter 10 months out of surgery and she was 8 pounds 11 ounces.
Not sure if it's based on how much we gain either.  I gained over 60 pounds with my first, gained 45 with my daughter.

They say that the baby gains about half a pound each week in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy.

Both my babies were 9lbs 1 oz.
One was before WLS and I gained 60lbs.  I only gained 20lbs with the one after WLS.

Mine were both post op with gestational diabetes. The first I gained 70 pounds and she was 9.6 and my son I gained 25 pounds and he was 10.6. The baby totally takes what it needs from you. That is why it is important to eat well and supplement, so that we don't suffer. Shari

I FEEL I EAT AS MUCH AS A NORMAL PERSON...I HAVE NOTICED HIGH FAT CONTENT I DUMP ON MORE THAN SUGAR THO....I STARTED EATING MORE HEALTHY SINCE MY LAST DR VISIT WHICH  MY OB TOLD ME I GAINED TOO MUCH WEIGHT...I EAT.. NIGHTS ARE HARDER FOR ME...I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A NIGHT EATER AND IT SEEMS TO BE WHEN I CRAVE MORE....BUT I WAS JUST WONDERING

I GUESS THIS IS TOTALLY OUR OWN EXPERIENCE.... BUT U GOTTA LOVE A BIG BABY...LOL

By suffering...Hmmm. I didn't mean like weight gain. Even though I gained a lot of weight with each pg, my vitamin d, b-12 and iron dropped dramatically. baby took what they needed, but I suffered. You should have your labs drawn a lot while pg. Recommended every 2 months, but I did mine every month...and when something started to slip I added to my prenatals. Hope that clarifies.

My 10lbs 9oz baby was my easiest to deliver. She was a full 45min L&D without tears, and a homebirth to boot.

This will be my first post-op baby, but my 7 other babies ranged from 7lbs 10oz all the way to 10lbs 9oz, no GD either.

1 - 9lbs 2oz
2 - 7lbs 10oz
3 - 9lbs 8oz
4 - 8lbs
5 - 7lbs 15oz
6 - 10lbs 9oz
7 - 7lbs 10oz

I am interested in seeing how big this baby will be but I also don't have malabsorption issues so I think this baby will probably be in the 8-9lbs range.
