Desperate for help..just found out pregnant.

Hey there pretty lady:

First of all...:::breathe in...breathe out:::  Second of all...CONGRATULATIONS!  I know you are scared but you will be okay!  I would not do too much research on the internet because so much of it is conflicting and unnecessarily horrifying!  Your surgeon and your OB are your best resources...and, of course, this board!

I don't have much in the way of medical advice...but I can tell you that I, too, am 38 and never thought that I would be pregnant at this age.  But here I am.  I am 4 years out of WLS...so we are different there but that is okay.  You and your OB will manage it and everything will be fine.  Try to look at this as a blessing!  I STILL go through feelings of being terrified about having this second baby (my husband and I both work in high-stress, full-time jobs).  But as I sit here typing and my little guy is kicking my tummy, I try to think he is telling me, "Yeah, Mommy...your life is gunna be hell...but will be so much fun and full of love!"
