Had a scare today.
I had gotten on the ground with my 1 year old god daughter to play with her, and started cramping after awhile so I got up and laid down. I noticed alittle spotting a short while later, which really hasnt been unusual for this pregnancy, but its been a few weeks. So I took it really easy the rest of the day and then picked up my son from school. We have a 45 minute commute, and on the way home out of nowhere the sharpest pain hit my stomach out of nowhere. I mean pain so bad it made me want to throw up. I broke into a sweat and pulled over. The pain would ease up and id start drivng and then 5 minutes or so later it would hit again. I decided to go strait to the er. I must have looked like hell too because I hadnt even got in the building yet when a woman offered me HER wheelchair, which I declined lol. I told the triage nurse that I wasnt very far along, and what was happening. Then the cramping hit again and I threw up, luckily there was a trashcan to grab at my feet!!! They took me right back, and the doctor asked me what was going on, and was really thorough in asking questions etc. They ran labs and started me on an iv fluid and did a internal exam. Which, idk if it was the doctor or it was just cause I was hurting, but I have NEVER had an exam hurt that bad. It felt like he put his entire body in there to take a look! Haha that sounds so gross sorry, but I mean OUCH!! He said that it looked good, not alot of bleeding and my cervix was closed up. He did say that my uterus felt bigger than 11 weeks, and when I told him the doctor hadnt ruled out twins yet, he said it felt possible. My lab work was great and they took me down for a sono. ONLY ONE BABY! (I am so very relieved, just for sanity purposes ;p) and things looked good. I could see it move its little nubby arms around, and it looked like a giant jelly bean. The heartbeat was good, and it was measuring right on for my due date. She DID however say she saw alot of scar tissue where they removed the tumor and ovary in July. The weird thing was by then my pain had almost died away, just slight crampy feelings and some lingering nausea. The doctor came in and said they thought it was a number of things- the scar tissue from my surgery stretching, dehydration (I argued this alittle because at that point I had hat 5 water bottles and 2 cups of caffeine free tea, apparently this wasnt enough) and basically take it easy, drink water till I float away and there isnt much they can do about the scar tissue right now. SOOOOO im home now, with a brand new picture of my jelly bean, and feeling ok. WEEEEIRD.

Hi Jennifer, I am sorry you had such a bad day, however I wanted to reassure you a little bit.
I had the EXACT same thing happen to me with my baby boy Dylan. It turned out it was my scar tissue ripping! And it hurt like and SOB! However, once through that intial one it didn't happen again the rest of the pregnancy.
I hope you feel better soon.
