anyone sleepy??
I'm 14 weeks pregnant, and experiencing big time sleepiness. Sometimes I can't even function at work... I'm like falling over at my desk lol. I usually nap for 30 min. or so when I can. but this is really difficult. It's not as bad as it was at the beginning of pregnancy, but it's still affecting me. Anyone else experience this, who is pregnant and working?
I understand completely! For me, I've noticed that a lot of it has to do with what I am eating when at work- If I can manage to eat lighter while working, I seem to have more energy than the days when I eat more- especially sugary things as I tend to be more sluggish all day. I'm at nearly 17 weeks now, and I have tried really hard to listen to my body about what to eat. I do have days when I am actually hungry- which doesn't occur often, and the I do eat a little more, and I'm not super tired after, because my body needed it. Of course others will also mention vitamin levels and hydration, which are important too. I was really sleepy at about fourteen weeks- but it was finals week and Christmas (I work retail) so I kind of thought maybe that had something to do with it. Maybe not! Good luck!

I am so there today... I slept 10hrs last night with no interruptions for once... and I am still tired. If it wasn't for my daughter I think I would sleep all day... I don't know why but my fatigue is back in full swing... But I don't work i just stay home with my 21 month old. I am only 21 weeks and when I was at the doctors last she asked me if I worked and I said no... then she said good I would have to take you out of work... I am thinking Already? Anywho I hope things get better for ya soon.... :)

Oh man, lucky you!! I wish I could stay home and nap. I'm so jealous lol. At work I just think about getting home nad putting on comfy jammies and laying down. ahh, it sounds soooo good right now to snuggle in bed. Especially with this cold weather we are having here in Florida! SO are you high risk, since doc said to stay home? how come? I hope all goes great fo you!!
I'd give anything to go back to work again... Sitting at home drives me nuts...lol I am high risk I got pregnant just about 4 months out and I got twins in there... So they are worried about me. I also am still 359 lbs. with my daughter I was 400 lbs when I get pregnant and worked 50 hrs a week as a manager at Burger King. That sucked so bad... I was always tired then. I hear ya about cold weather I live in Buffalo NY we got so much snow in the past few days it's crazy...I thought this winter was gonna be mild here it didnt really start snowing until December compared to October like it usually does...
Being tired is very normal. Hopefully as you get further in the second trimester if should fade more. Then it can come back during the third trimester. If you think it is excessive, get your labs checked. Low B-12, low iron, and anemia can make an already tired pregnant woman a walking zombie.

I am 29 weeks and just starting my 3rd trimester and it seems like all of the fatigue from the 1st trimester has returned. I actually close my door and take a nap at work sometimes. It's like I just can't function anymore until I rest for awhile. I definitely feel like going home and putting on my PJ's and relaxing after work, but now I am busy trying to get the nursery done and the house reorganized. I soooooo wish that I would have gotten this done earlier, so that I could just relax now. Also, be careful of your carb/sugar intake. If I have too many carbs for lunch...I am absolutely doomed for the afternoon.
Hang in there!
