Thanks Emily.  I got a call back from the OB and they didn't seem too concerned.  Every time I think it's letting up, I'm wrong.  UGH!  They want me to wait and see if it lasts another week.  Gosh I hope not!!

Sandy,

This is horrible to say, but I honestly do not remember details like that from any of my pregnancies...out of 8 you would think I might remember 1..LOL  Anyhoooo..from a medicinal side...the rule of thumb is...if you are soaking 1 pad per hour...you are bleeding too much and need to be checked.  The reason for the "gushing" is positional...the blood pools in there..you change position and bam the blood comes gushing out.  After my tubal I had very little bleeding, but it was not at the same time of a delivery of any sort...so I don't think we can compare the two...apples and oranges with you and me.

My medical red flag side says..phone the OB's nurse and get her opinion...if she says not to worry...then you know you are okay...I figure...that is what they are there for, is to answer our questions ;)

I wish I had more good information for you...but I don't...I get an F+ on this one...LOL

I hope you feel mo-better soon!

Thanks Laura.  I called the OB and they weren't too concerned.  They said the same as you about the pad in an hour.  I did put in a tampon and put on a "lite" pad after my shower today.  Within an hour the tampon was completely useless.  My pad was soaked and when I took out the tampon, it was at max capacity.  Sorry, TMI!  LOL.  I gave up and just went back to the overnight pads.  Soaking thru them pretty fast but not more than 1 an hour.  I so hope this lets up SOON!  Our 20th anniversary is coming up and want to enjoy it!  ;-)
