PCOS before WLS and luck afterwards

I had SEVERE PCOS before surgery.  We tried for over 8 years, 2 miscarriages, and a 8 month round of clomid.  We finally adopted our oldest from Korea.  He was 18 months old when I had the surgery and 4 months post-op got pregnant with my youngest son when we forgot the condom ONCE.  I thought my PCOS symptoms were coming back after I delivered him but when he was 18 months old, found out we were pregnant with TWINS.  Yeah, this infertile couple turned into a baby factory due to WLS.  I finally had to tie my tubes with the twins' delivery 8 weeks ago!

 I'm 7 years post op and have PCOS. At my lowest weight, my period regulated wonderfully.
After gaining about 20 lbs, they became irregular again. It took us a year to get pregnant. Clomid failed for me. I ended up on glucophage, infertility shots and insemination. Luckily, it worked this time! Now, I'm 16 weeks!

thank you all SOOO much.. your posts gave me the glimmer of hope i was desperately hoping for!!!  My story sounds soo similiar to most of yours.. i am 11 months post op and we decided to start trying a few weeks ago b/c we were sure it just wouldnt happen or take months...

I too have PCOS and failed clomid & injections prior to surgery (8 years ttc).  After WLS my PCOS symptoms went away and I got pregnant the 1st month we didn't use protection by temping to time BD with O.  Alice is almost 3.5 now.  After I had her I had an IUD inserted and when she was 1.5 I had it removed.  We used protection immediately after having it removed so that I would have good uterine lining. Once I had my 1st AF we began ttc and I was temping to time BD with O and once again got pregnant immediately.  My OB was even surprised that I'd gotten pregnant so quickly after my IUD.  Amanda just turned a year.  My babies wouldn't be here had it not been for my WLS...I believe that with all my heart. 

It's funny...for so long I tried so hard to get pregnant...now I have to try hard to NOT get pregnant.
