I don't know what to eat anymore

OK, I couldn't eat a lot of things BEFORE I got pregnant and now my selections have gotten slimmer it seems since I've gotten pregnant. Things I could eat before now make me have the most horrible diarrhea (SORRY)....I mean watery. Like I could enjoy a small bowl of Raisin Bran Extra, which I LOVE, before I got pregnant. Now EVERY time I eat it.......it goes STRAIGHT through me.....quickly. Yesterday during the Cowboy game, thought I'd enjoy some chips and salsa for a little snack. Nope......went right through me. I could eat a small quantity of chips and salsa before the pregnancy.......obviously not now.

I'm kind of at a loss for what I can even eat now. I can basically count on one hand what I can handle now......Cheese in any form, but mostly a cheese sandwich so I can get the protein and whole grain (good carbs) all at once, hard boiled eggs or one cooked overhard, steak (like we can afford THAT every night! LOL), bananas. Heck, even no sugar added Carnation instant breakfast makes me sicker than a dog.

Did this kind of thing happen to any of ya'll? I just don't even know what to try to eat anymore or if I should just eat these few things for the rest of the pregnancy.......OH so healthy (and boring....LOL). And I should mention, protein shakes in any form or fashion make me sick as well. I've never been able to drink those. What did you all do when your appetite just completely changed??

Can you eat peanut butter?

I used to could. Now it i**** and miss. I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole grain bread (seems we have to QUALIFY everything we eat on this board or else you get reemed, and oh, it was sugar free jelly! lol) and it went ok but the week before I ate like 2 spoonfuls of peanut butter and got sick as a dog. I think I'll try another sandwich this week and see how it goes. Maybe, cross my fingers and knock on wood, it will work. Or, it will go down and stay put for a while.....lol

Same thing happened to me, except I couldn't eat any meat or veggie burgers and I couldn't drink protein shakes for nothing! Honestly you dont want my advice because I gained 70 pounds but the only things I could eat was carbs - veggie subs, fast food burgers without the burger but with mayo, ketchup, cheese and veggies, bagels, fries, pasta, any bread w/butter. Sorry I was no help but I can relate!

I've had the same problem- especially during the first trimester. I ate what I could- and Cheese is my only reliable food too- I still eat a lot of it. Try shredding some, putting it in the oven to broil until it's crispy, then eat like a chip- that's been helpful. Now that I am in my 2nd trimester I can eat a little more on some days, and on others the pouch is really tight and nothing agrees with me. It does stink, because I know I am nowhere near where I should be as far as eating nutrients. Well, at least my twins are still measuring on schedule and don't appear to be suffering anything. Good luck too!! I have eaten yogurt again, which is not my fave too.
