Congratulations! Have you had a fill yet? You might want to wait on getting a fill to see how your morning sickness goes. Since you have a band, you don't have to worry as much about malapsorption, just make sure you can eat a normal portion size. I'm sure there are others on here that know more about all the do's an don'ts that quick after surgery. You should be fine though, hopefully you're not stressing.
Well, thankfully with the band, it can always be adjusted to meet your needs during pregnancy. Some docs insist you unfill totally during pregnancy, others don't. I maintained a moderate fill level, although I had some taken out around week 8 due to morning sickness and then had it put back after about week 14. i think the band really helped me manage my pregnancy weight gain.
Banded 03/22/06 276/261/184 (highest/surgery/lowest)
Sleeved 07/11/2013 228/165 (surgery/current) (111lbs lost)
Mom to two of the cutest boys on earth.
The good news is that you have the band and won't have any malabsorption issues. My doctor told me that the only reason they recommend waiting to get pregnant when you have the band is that pregnancy is counterproductive to weight loss.
Usually the first year is when you lose the most weight but I guess you can just plan on your first year starting in about 9 months.
Congrats!
