Saying Hi

I'm normally a lurker but since I just posted to something I thought I'd introduce myself.  I am 10 months out of surgery and just found out I was pregnant two weeks ago.  It will be our fifth (5 year old triplets and a 4 year old).  Yes we were shocked but we are thrilled :)  As my infertility (my kids were conceived with the help of a medical team :) and my use of birth control wasn't enough, I'll be getting my tubes tied after this one lol.

Because I never get my period (hence the infertility) we didn't know how far along we were, but a recent ultrasound puts me at about 11 weeks so hopefully I can find some buddies on here to chat with.  I have lost 127 lbs. as of today (from 304 to 177) and I'm still losing slowly due to some pretty mean morning sickness, but I'm trying to eat as best as I can.  Seems all I want is carbs, but I figure maybe I need them right now.  Well at least that the excuse I'm using :)

Congrats! This board is a great source of information! If carbs are what your craving and it's something you can keep down that is ok. I do believe you being 10 months out and all-- it is something you need.

Welcome and Congrats!

Yeah carbs seem to keep my all day sickness at bay.  I'm trying to be healthy about it though...it's really only some here or there.

Thanks :)

Congrats and welcome to the board. I say eat what you can keep in. Carbs are good as long as you keep idea an of how much and enjoy being pregnant!! Take all your vitamins for sure. Congrats on pregnancy and weight loss!!

I'm hoping that this pregnancy will be my easiest one yet because I'm the healthiest I've ever been.  Thanks for the advice and the welcome :)

Congrats hun! Since your others were concived with help, and this lil one is a surprise, you can consider him or her a complete miricle! What a wonderful surprise! I am due the end of July. Your a little head of me, but thought i'd say hi and welcome! I too have been having morning sickness pretty badly, and cravings galore :) I am also planning on having my tubes tied after this lil one arrives. Anyways talk to you soon, and good luck!!!

Yes we are definitely excited even though I had a mild heart attack when I first found out :)  My due date is approximately the middle July but that could change with the next ultrasound...they say they are usually accurate in dating within two weeks so we are both due right around the same time :)  Yeah my cravings have been mild so far (SF icees and pickles) but I'm definitely having food aversions.  I honestly can say that I don't mind so much because I was dealing with some pretty bad 24/7 hunger in the weeks before I became pregnant and I feel more in control now.

Talk to you again soon and take care!
