Just a quick question for those who have had csection. Did you have alot of swelling at your belly. I seem to be losing it all everywhere else but my lower belly is still very swollen. Also the lower portion( near my girlie parts) are swollen as well. I did only have my section 5 days ago!! But i feel great besides that. They day after having Marshall  i was down almost 10 lbs. I gained almost 20.

Just wondering if maybe that is just were im carrying all the weight. TIA

 Tanya,
Yes, I also had lots, lots of swelling.  I'm 4 weeks out from my c-section and I still feel I have some swelling in my lower belly.    Congrats on baby Marshall!  I didn't get a chance earlier to say congrats.  :)

I had a TON of swelling in my lower belly and even my legs, ankles and feet.  I looked like I weighed 300lbs from my belly button down instead of only 140.  I was very lucky to even be able to wear my maternity clothes home from the hospital.  It took a long time for the swelling to go away completely.  My dr eventually called me in a prescription for the swelling.

I have lost the pregnancy weight but I still wear a size larger pants from swelling! Very annoying, but I'm sure it will go down eventually.

After both of my c-sections I had a TON of swelling in my lower stomach area.  I had always had a small panni, but it seemed like after the c-sections all of the fluid went right there and I still to this day have a huge panni now.  I even had pitted edema there and no sensation for the longest time (as in I'd press on the skin and it would stay indented).  I kept asking my OB what I could do and he basically said nothing.  This time I have a new OB and if it happens again and gest too severe I'll ask for some medicine of some sort.  Hopefully when I have a tummy tuck after this pregnancy is over it will be all gone because it's pretty obscene lol.

Most people have some swelling due to all of the fluid they pump into you during surgery, and it does usually go away but can take a few months.  I was just one of the unlucky ones.

First, CONGRATS!!
Second, I'm so glad I'm not alone!  I thought I was a freak of nature.  Mine started swelling at about 30 weeks and didn't go away until 4 weeks after having the girls. (The hoo-ha too!) They even left my staples in for a week and put a drain in my belly.  They also gave me the drug Lasix for swelling.  Not sure if it helped but I took that puppy religiously because I was in so much pain from the swelling.  It was hideous!

Again, congrats on your little one.  I never get a chance to come here anymore.  Hope all is going well!

I was swollen for a little over 2 months and then suddenly it felt "normal" .  I fit in all my pre-pregnancy jeans.. but my fitted pants and shirts are still a no-go.  My weight re-distributed oddly.
