Any tips on getting back on track!
Ok.. 2010 is almost here and im trying my hardest to make my new year
resolution to actually and finally reach my weight loss goal...Before I under went WLS I was a whooping 350 lbs!
I dropped down to 235 before I got pregnant...now im in between 207 and 205.
I want to reach my goal of 180 atleast by summer of 2010.
I cant seem to get it together I can eat ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING..nothing bothers me.
I can fit a whole bagel into my pouch witch im pretty sure is streched to the max...I can eat like I used to eat before WLS and im scared to gain the weight back..the only reason I think I have not gained alot of weight is because I breast feed and I do that maybe 2 times a day.
I want to be able to take charge and control my old habits i refuse to be 350 lbs again.
did anyone struggle with weight loss after birth?
any tips?
thank you

Yes, I struggled.
The people who lost all of their pregnancy weight without trying? I envied so much I could have hated them, if I, you know, hated people that I liked. Wait. Well, you know how you hate people you like because they can do something that you can't? Kinda like you hate your husband for being able to eat ice cream without gaining an ounce but you just look at the carton and gain 3lbs? That sorta love/hate relationship sorta deal?
Yeah. I had to struggle. I gained 60lbs with both kids. With Kaitlin I lost 30lbs easily and just now got her extra 30 off. (Started the whole deal off at 200, and now she's 3 1/2 and I'm finally back down to 200.. go figure.) With Daniel, I only got rid of 20 of the 60.
I started journalling -- that REALLY helped. Went back to putting my protein first -- somewhere around 40% of my total calories were protein -- and I stuck around 1000-1200 calories per day so about 100g of protein per day. I started using protein shakes again, which actually helps me. But journalling was my first step. Getting more active was my next step. I kept records of EVERYTHING. Took measurements, pictures, had charts and graphs and it's all in my WLS binder with my vitamin research -- at the front of it, actually. And it helped keep me on trac****il it was all second nature to me. Now I don't have to think about it as much so I don't journal anymore.
I'm stubborn. I'm set in my ways. But if *I* can do it, I honestly feel that ANYONE can do it. Really.
