Question...and some pics!
Both my girls have been admited to the hospital for GERD.
I went to see their doctor yesterday and she recommended for me to put some
cereal into their bottle, she said this can help with the spitting up and the GERD.
But arent they to young to be drinking cereal from a bottle...I dunno what to do
I know it was my Doc who told me to go head and do so but I just feel like they are to little.
Has anyone given their 2 month old cereal and how did that work out?
How big should I make the nipple..im scared to choke the babies.

You could give it a shot- I'm sure you would need hardly any, so it is still mostly milk, just a little thicker to stay down better. I would try with maybe a teaspoon in an 8 oz bottle- see if they like it and keep it down. If not, you'll have to ask for different advice. I don't think your doctor meant for you to spoon feed them or to make it really thick- just a little tiny bit in the milk so it's hardly noticeable. My sister had to do this with my nephew and he did much better.

With DS adding cereal to his bottles was one of the first things that I did to try and help him. Then he was also placed on several medications as well. I don't recall how much we added because it was 7 years ago but I do recall that his bottle was cloudy from the cereal. Adding the cereal only helped a little but it did help.
At its worst he was spitting up after drinking 1/2 ounce and threw up all the time as well as stopped eating. Out of desperation I decided to switch his formula to the kind with a pre digested protein. Changing the formula by far helped the most. (It was no cure but helped) It seemed to be less harsh on his stomach and he kept way more of that down than any other formula. He also started to eat an adequate amount for his age then too. When he was on regular similac he would only eat an ounce or two before refusing to eat anymore and was writhing in pain.
Here is a link to a messageboard that is solely about reflux in children. You may be able to get some good info there. I wish that I had kept better notes of the troubles I had but to be honest it was so hard that I took every day hour by hour. I hope that you don't share in my difficulties and the girls outgrow this fast.

They are too adorable!
I have been giving Alex cereal since he was about 7 weeks old. He has handled it fine and never spits up. We have even progressed to spoon feedings with cereal mixed with Stage 1 fruits or veggies. He does great with it!
When I first started adding cereal to the bottles I used the ventaire natural latch nipple systems fast flow. I would add about 2 tbsp of cereal to a 4oz bottle of formula. The cereal kept the fast flow from drowning Alex but wide enough to allow it through :)
