Progesterone Sublingual

Ladies, I fell over this product while purchasing vites on forresthealth.com and I know some of you look for ways to get good absorption of progesterone.   I don't profess to know anything about the effectiveness of this product (or the trueness of the alcohol mentioned), it's just the first time I've seen a sublingual progesterone and thought I'd inform; might want to bring it up to your docs.

ProGest™ Sublingual Progesterone Drops

BioMatrix ProGest, indicated for progesterone augmentation, is of the highest pharmaceutical grade. It contains just enough alcohol to be absorbed under the tongue (the alcohol is vaporized and not absorbed), thus bypassing the gut, where malabsorption may be a factor and oxidative reactions cause hormone degradation.

1.2 mg (1 drop) of BioMatrix ProGest is equivalent to 3 mg of micronized oral progesterone. BioMatrix ProGest has a 99% absorption rate.

Thanks for the info Jackie. Guess they've found a better alternative to oral progesterone. Even in a "normal" digestive track, oral progesterone supplements don't have a good absorption rate. Imagine how much worse it is in a WLS patient. It's neat that they now have a sublingual. Good news for a lot of folks. Wonder how this med would factor in for a pregnant WLS woman? I'm going to print this off to ask my new OB about. Thanks again!
