Childbirth Preparedness Videos

I had asked a few weeks ago about classes and my hubby and I have decided not to do it. I would however like to get a video that we can watch together at home and found a few online - just wondering if anyone had any experience with these?

good question.  my husband works 2nd shift and I work 1st so we cant find any classes that fit our schedule....I hope someone has suggestions.

Thats our situation - and he works most of the saturdays that the class is offered. Well and he would go stir crazy being in the classroom for 8 hours...

I haven't seen either one of them, but the 1st one looks similar to what you would get if you took a lamaze class at the hospital.  We took the lamaze class at the hospital with our 1st child - 15 years ago.  It focused a lot on the breathing / relaxation techniques.  I do think it was good / beneficial for my husband who knew absolutely NOTHING about childbirth because the last "class or 2" focused on the birth. 

Another option or thought is if you have a good public library near you.  I have seen a lot of good videos at the library that you can check out too.  Just a thought....

Thanks Debbie! I think I'll order the one and see how it is - if I don't feel satisfied with it I'll hit the library!

You might want to ask your OB or the nurse if they have any videos you could borrow.  Mine has a huge library of videos that they loan and/or give out that cover a variety of topics concerning pregnancy, delivery, childcare etc.  

Oh neat thanks! I never even thought to ask them. I have an appt next week I will be sure to ask.
