Update: Gia Makaila & Pics

For those *****member my precious WLS post op miracle.

Gia Makaila is doing great. She is 21 months old still petite and growing nicely.  She has 8 teeth and 4 molars. She is the only one of all my kids that have been slow in cutting teeth.  I don't mind since she is my last I wish I could keep her as baby for as long as I can keep her small. lol

She weighed 22 pounds 5 oz. and was 29 inches tall in her September appointment.
She is begining to put 4 words together in a sentence and is very independent. She wants to go potty but when she does she sits there and fills the bowl with tissue and won't pee. lol Hopefully one day soon.

As for the matter with the RN who *****ed her with the dirty needle. We are still with the case.  Thank God all of her tests have come back normal and they've said there is nothing to worry about in the future. She is all clear.  Nothing makes me happier to hear those words.

So that is our update nothing major just enjoying my children and staying home with them. I had gone back to work in Feb 2009 but in June I got sick with a hernia and had emergency surgery. I lost my job since I was still in the probational period.  Verizon is not a very understanding employer (even though I had worked for them before for 5 years in the past) But it was the best thing that could happen since it was quite frustrating to have a 1 1/2 hour commute each way every day and pumping was a major pain when you rarely got enough time to pump. Then when I came home Gia did not want to let me go not even for a second nursing and crying.
I believe that it was a blessing in disguise to have the surgery and stay home.  I miss the money but the kiddos are happier and so am I.

I'm so glad that Gia didn't catch anything from the dirty needle.  I hope that RN loses her job! 

Sorry that verizon wasn't a good place to work (and that you had to have surgery).  I bet the kids are happy to have Momma home all the time.

Gia is such a cutie!  She has grown so much since that last pictures I saw.   She looks so innocent, which I'm sure you'll tell me she isn't lol.

Thanks Amy!  I hope she loses her job too. Everytime I think about it I get so angry all over again. Not only for my baby girl but for others that might be go through the same and parents that have not realized what has happened. 

She is a sweet little girl with a mean streak I'll tell ya. But I love her to pieces regardless. lol

How is Hannah doing? She must be so big.  I am so glad to see that you are having a baby boy in just 6 weeks.  I know you must be so excited.  Wishing you an uneventful delivery.  I can't wait to see pics of the little Prince.

Sorry about the needle thing.  My father is an RN and did that to himself... while caring for a junkie.  It was the worst week of his life.

Yes it is not an easy wait. Thank goodness his was only 1 week.   Our wait was for an entire year of retesting and the wait was horrific.  I am so glad it is finally over.
I am glad your father is fine.

She is awesome. Up to 8 pounds now. Thinks she is hungry all the time. Have to convince her she is not sometimes. Also likes to try and stay awake. But she is sleeping about 5 hours at a time at night now though. Which is very helpful!!
