Zofran / CVS update

Hey there,

I have been trying to find time to write an update but with the holiday and DD, it's been crazy.

I was having severe morning sickness and nothing worked.  Took extra B vits, sea sickness bands, ginger, etc.  Finally I was throwing up water and I just gave in and got a prescription for Zofran.  Amazing!  I highly recommend if you are throwing up 3x a day like I was.  I wish I hadn't waited so long.

I am 37 years old so we are going to have a prenatal test called CVS (yes, like the store LOL).  It means chorionic villus sampling.  The perinatalogoist will take a sample of my placenta for genetic testing.  They can also determine if it is a boy or girl.

I am afraid for the test because there is a slight risk for miscarriage.  Truthfully, I just am a pain wimp and I hear it can be quite painful.  Still, it is the right move for us.

Laurel is beautiful!   I can't believe see is 17 months already.   I'm glad you got the Zofran,  It really helps.   Constipation was a bad side effect for me though, so you may need to add a stool softener if you notice the same (sorry it that's TMI, I'm just not for sure if you've been taking it long enough to know that). 

I hope the CVS test goes well.  When are you having it done?

Yeah the same but I use milk.  It really diagrees with me.  LOL.
