I have a crazy question/idea...
Since you are worried about infections (which by all rights you should be!), you might want to check in to what type of c-section your ob does. I had a c-section in 2007 that ended up as a "nightmare" of all healing. I ended up not closing for almost 3 months, and that was with a would vac! Due to this, I actually found a new ob with the last baby I had 5 months ago. He did a c-section way different. He didn't do a traditional one where you have the panni hanging down where gravity affects it, plus it breeds bacteria. His c-section was up high, only 1-2 inches below my belly button. He also left the staples in for 7-10 days, AND he put in a drain tube! Due to this, I healed AWESOME. It was SO much better this time than 2 years before.
Some people may not realize that different ob's can do different procedures or know of different procedures if asked. If may not hurt to check. I know it made a big difference for me!
