Just a few questions about feeding..
- I"m currently breastfeeding my 2 week old. She eats like crazy, every hour or so.   I'm needing a break and tried giving her a bottle a couple times and she just makes a mess.   She dribbles the milk out and doesn't seem to even drink as much as she spits out.   Is this normal for the first time using a bottle??    Is it something she just needs to get use to?

Any suggestions on bottles that work really well?

Thanks!

Make sure you have the slow flow nipple instead of a faster flow.  They do tend to make a small mess, but it shouldn't be too bad.

I also BF Emad but had to pump and give it to him for the first 4 weeks because latching did not work out. I used the Evenflo bottles with slow flow nipples but later switched to Playtex Ventaire with the Natural (like breast) nipple slow flow and he did well. He was also tongue tied which we had fixed at 6 months and that was part of our problem. Hope that helps.

I am breastfeeding lots to but we supplement one formula bottle a day and we use the slow flow drop in bottle with nipple. My hubby accidently put a fast flow on one time and boy was that awful. We also now use a bib when she takes the bottle to save the clothes!!
