Progesterone Experts....Question

LIke a by mouth capsule? But I'm sure anything I take by mouth won't absorb properly. I might be better off with suppositories.

Yep it was by mouth....Prometrium.  It was a tiny little capsule.  I took it and my level was great....no absorbing issues.  I was able to stop taking them at 17 weeks.  I probably could have quit taking them at 14 weeks but I went ahead and finished out the prescription I had.

Weird! Oral progesterone is usually not absorbed well anyway and then for our gastric bypass bodies.......whew! I hope they don't give me an oral! Yeek! lol

That sounds low to me.   With Hannah I took prometium (I'm sure that isn't anywhere close to being spelled right lol).    I can't remember how low the level was before they automatically put you on supplements.   I was close to that line and wouldn't have any more blood work done until the next week.  I pretty much freaked out on them (because each time my progesterone would come back two or three points lower) thinking I would have a miscarriage over the weekend.   They gave me the meds and even while taking those my level never got back above 14.  

I agree with the other poster about trying to find progesterone cream in the mean time.

I thought so too! ANd you didn't butcher Prometrium. You just left out an 'r'.

I'm about to start FREAKING out! We're sitting here TWO days before Christmas and a weekend. This is the LAST day that the Dr's office will be open until Monday. They had BETTER have me a script IN HAND or called in by O-Five hundred or I will be                  And I just now got a call from the office and I have MUCH bigger problems now. Lordy. I'm on the phone. I'll update later.
