Maryn Update

I switched her back to the regular Similac and she's fine (with the puking) but she is still having diaper issues.

I don't think it's near as bad as what Dylan used to do and probably just she likes to poop a ton.  I will talk to the Dr. on Sat about what he thinks we should do next.

Hopefully he doesn't suggest Alimentum.

I am sorry to hear that your perfect baby has a heart murmer :( I hope that it all resolves itself quickly! Babies are so tough it seems. LIke a PP had mentioned, my 74 year old grandmother has had one since birth as well and is 100% fine. I also have a cousin who was born with a hole in her heart and it closed itself in a matter of months and she is a perfetly healthy 20something now.

Thoughts, prayers and hugs headed out to you and your family.

Can't wait to see pics of her when the camera cooperates!

Yeah, not worry?? Why do they tell mothers that? That was like the neurologist telling us not to worry about the cysts in Noah's brain. Yeah, not worry? Doesn't happen with us mothers does it?

I truly do hope that she doesn't have any long term problems with it. I would be jumping at every noise she makes too. Definitely normal. Poor little girl!

Congratulations on your new beautiful little one. I hope everything works out perfectly with her heart. I just wanted to let you know that I have a heart murmer still and I have been told by the cardiologist that he would gladly have my heart because it is so healthy. But my mom still worries about it every so often (and I'm 28). So this is perfectly normal.

I hope she just keeps getting better! I know how hard the nicu can be and everything they say not to worry about is always something as a mom is still there for us to think and worry about. Wishing you guys the best!!

Hi Julie,

Glad to hear that Maryn is home now. I know that you will be concerned for her well being, but try not to stress yourself over it. My sister has a heart murmur and she is 48 years old now. She had it from birth so it partially closed but she can have issues every so often related to it but nothing that has ever been serious. Hopefully, Maryn's will close completely on its own. Take care.

Man.... I'd go into a daze too.

Sounds like from what others are saying Maryn will probably be just fine and the murmur will go away.

I'm sorry you have to stress about it until that time!

I'm happy to hear she's home and doing well otherwise.  How are the twins doing with her?

Take Care!

Julie~  I send hugs, but I won't tell you not to worry either.  As you know, Tyson was in the NICU (in a hospital almost 2 hrs away from me, which pretty much sent me crawling up the walls) because of aspirating.  Ever since then, he's been very prone to colds, RSV, croup, you name it.  I freak out every time he gets a little bit snotty that he's going to be back in the hospital.  I will keep Maryn in my thoughts that her heart murmur will heal itself and all will be normal in 6 months, as the doctor predicts.  I would tell you to rest and relax a little, but I know that won't happen hehe.
