i'm a fellow DSer, 5 weeks tuesday, and also my first pregnancy! i'm craving fruit like mad, which is a bit hard with my usual attempt of <50g carbs a day (as in it's not happening). i'm having some trouble with the protein, so ijust do a shake in the afternoon when my body is least angry and then greek yogurt at night so i essentially get my 100g of protein every day.
how you haging in there?

Yay, DS pregnancy buddy!
Since finding out about the pregnancy, I've basically thrown low-carbing out the window. (Especially since ketosis can be really dangerous for the baby.) I'm craving everything on earth, but I'm also having a lot of nausea trouble, so it's been REALLY hard to get my protein in. Yesterday I basically had just a PB&J sandwich until midnight.
I heard from a veteran DSer that I'm supposed to ADD 50 grams of protein to my normal routine now. So...*gulp* that means 150 grams each day. I've been making it to 100 okay so far, but that last 50 grams is just torture!
I'm gonna try some protein hot chocolate and coffee I guess.
This is my first pregnancy and I'm also dealing with pretty bad depression issues so yeah...I'm pretty freaked out.
