Unexpected peek at the baby

I went to the dr yesterday (high risk for sugar testing) and did the normal routine with all nurses etc.  Which was cool for the first time I layed there and watched my stomach bounce up and down as the nurse tried to get the heart rate....my lil lady just wasn't in the mood....but at the end of the appt, dr came in (one that I hadn't met before) and said...I haven't see your baby, so let's take a look....so I got up on the table and we took a look, she is still head on my hip like she was two weeks ago, but heart beating strong, and looking pretty!  It was a nice addition to my day....told him he could look at her anytime he wanted! 

Anyways, rest of the appt went well....and sugar is doing right were it needs to be....only three drops below target this go around, which was excellent according to them....

awwe... good to hear all is well

Good news! Happy to hear that. My doc had a hard time finding the baby's heart beat at first as well. Right when he said, "well let's have a look see" the baby started pounding like crazy and we could hear it. I think it has a lot to do with how they position the thing to hear it and how patient the doctor is at the time. He was able to hear it but I would have liked to have had a "look see" as well.
