Do you chart or temp? Fertility Friend is a website that was recommended to me when I was trying and I found it helpful.  How long have you been trying? They say for those of us over 35 if you have been trying for more than 6 months you should see your doctor and get yourself all checked out, they can run all kinds of test to see what your options are. I just had a baby four months ago.

I have actively been TTC for over 1 1/2 years. I first read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". It really helped me understand my cycles, ovulation signs, and etc. I use Fertility Friend to chart.

After six months I saw an RE. The first thing he did was a HSG (dye tube test) to insure my tubes were clear. Then, he did an analyssis on my husban's sperm. We were both perfectly fine. So, becuase I was 34 and trying for baby #1 he recommended IUI to move things along.

Good luck TTC!

Hello, I am 39 and am almost 20 weeks preggers so I will tell you the truth, it may not be easy, or depending on you and your partner you may need some assistance. The pp regarding Taking Charge of your Fertility was a good book. If you haven't done any of the charting yet, thats a good start otherwise I would suggest doing a preliminary appt. with an OB who specializes in fertility and if you've already done that the RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist) would be next. I'm proof that it can definitely happen no matter how long you've tried (its been 11 years for me) Best wishes!

If you have been trying for 6 months then get a referral from your ob to see an re (reproductive endocrinologist) For now fertility friend is a great resource...but I would pick up some ovulation test strips to make sure you are having sex at the right time to catch that egg. A lot of women miss their window completely because they go by the normal time we should ovulate, but we are all different...and a few days could make the difference. I post on fridays for those trying...feel free to join in. Shari

Thanks for all the replies.... looking into Fertility Friend... I'm very ignorant about temperature and what time of the month is best to conceive etc... some say  wait until you are "wet" or .... this is embarrassing... (I'm deaf).... so... sigh...
