Bleeding again!!!
I just had an ultrasound yesterday and today I started bleeding bright red blood! It was enough that it got on my panties and I needed to put a small pad on. I called the doctor and they said that it's possible the pressure used for the belly ultrasound manipulated my uterus and is making me bleed. I've never heard this before and although the bleeding has slowed down, it's still there. I know that the midwife who did my ultrasound pushed pretty hard and it didn't feel very good when she'd move it around. Has anyone else experienced this? I was just getting comfortable in my pregnancy and had finally announced the pregnancy to everyone. I really hope everything is ok. Needless to say, I've been freaking out. Oh and it's my daughter's birthday party tonight so I have to be lively and all happy for that tonight.
Hi Tammy...Try not to worry. I was EXACTLY where you are in weeks pregnant when I started bleeding BRIGHT red blood. Freaked me out and I ran to the ER and they couldnt find anything wrong at all. You are probably fine...keep off your feet as much as possible which I know is hard since you have to run around the party. i'll think of you and pray for you and your LO.

Tami,
I've had a lot of bleeding early in all my pregnancies- I always demand another ultrasound, just to put my mind at ease. It does involve another appointment, but that's just me. It could be a placental bleed too- they are usually not serious but can beed for a while- I had one with my daughter, and it's not always visible until much later on ultrasound. But, as long as the baby is doing well, then I wouldn't worry. So, demand another ultrasound and make sure they don't push so hard! I know with my last one I swear the tech bruised my bladder big time! Good luck and take care.
